Rs 4.9 crore assigned for building emergency facility.

While the trauma care centre, which was constructed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) on the Mumbai-Pune expressway and been lying ready for the past two years, has not been made operational because of paucity of funds, the health department has decided to construct another such centre at Yavat on the Pune-Solapur national highway (NH 65). This stretch of road has a high accident rate.
