PUNE: The process of drafting the development plan (DP) for the 11 villages recently merged with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limits is expected to start soon. The civic body’s city improvement committee has given a go-ahead to the process. A nodal officer will be appointed in 15 days to draft the plan.

“The intention to publish the DP should be declared in a fortnight. The details about the proposed land use should be presented before the civic body. Development is not taking place in a disciplined manner in these villages and PMC is not getting revenue from these areas,” said Sushil Mengade, chairman of the city improvement committee.
