Divisional office of PMPML at Pimpri Chinchwad soon
Pimpri Chinchwad: PMPML will soon set up a divisional office in Pimpri Chinchwad to cater to citizens’ grievances and suggestions.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s standing committee will also hold a one-day workshop at Auto Cluster in Pimpri within a week with PMPML and civic officials regarding the number of buses, staff, routes and passengers travelling by buses in the twin cities.
The committee has approved a proposal for the appointment of a competent officer who would coordinate with civic officials, elected office-bearers, corporators and citizens. The committee has approved a proposal for giving Rs 7.5 crore per month to PMPML regarding its operational deficit.
It also approved a proposal for development and rejuvenation of Pavana and Indrayani rivers. HCP Design Planning and Management Private Limited from Ahmedabad has been appointed consultant for the project. The agency carried out the Sabarmati river project. For project preparation and approval stage, the municipal corporation will have to pay the agency Rs 2 crore for 18km Pavana river, and Rs 1.78 crore for the 16km of the Indrayani river in the first phase.
It has also been decided that sapling or books will be given to people during civic and public felicitation programmes. “Last year, Rs 25 lakh was spent on giving bouquets,” standing committee member Vilas Madigeri said.
