PUNE: The Maharashtra Airport Development Company will soon be declared a Special Planning Authority (SPA) for the proposed airport at Purandar. Sources, who attended a high-level meeting chaired by CM Devendra Fadnavis, said a government resolution for land acquisition and compensation models would be declared.

The meeting was attended by district collector Saurabh Rao, land acquisition officer Uday Bhosale and MADCofficials. “Once the MADC is declared SPA, it can issue notification for land acquisition and compensation models,” an official said.
